That's a shame, because it'd make a lot of sense, if you consider that Microsoft is bringing the next flagship game in the series - Halo Infinite - to Windows PCs as well. "As we've shared previously, we do not have plans to launch Halo 5: Guardians on Windows 10 PC," a Microsoft spokesperson told CNET Monday. Unfortunately, it sounds like it's just a thought. The box on the right says Halo 5: Guardians is an "Xbox One Exclusive" - meaning a game you can only play on the Xbox One game console.īut the newer box on the left, as revealed on, suggests that Halo 5 is about to become an "Xbox One Console Exclusive" instead - which is Microsoft's long-standing code for games that come out on Windows PCs instead of just consoles. Personally, I hope we can get a Halo with the feel of H5's multiplayer again because it was pretty enjoyable and had some cool features in it.Notice anything different about these two game boxes? No, I'm not talking about the fact one of them is set at a jaunty angle. However, it makes sense with the timing of Microsoft's focus to bringing new titles to PC and how MCC's goal was to bring Halo the new consoles, then to PC because of that focus from Microsoft. It's just so odd to how it got left behind on PC. Arguably adding even more hype to infinite if it is true that infinite is going to have a similar style to H5's multiplayer experience. Which is so ashame because the multiplayer was so good and beats most of the current multiplayer FPS out today. The structure is more or less there, just the multiplayer part is lacking, so seemingly they just don't want to put time into dedicating servers and creating the multiplayer part to the already existing Forge. IDK the whole process to porting but arguably a good bit of the work is done like the textures, guns, maps, ect. Halo 5: Forge has been on PC for a while. However, to add to the confusion 1/3 of Halo 5 is already on PC. TLDR: Halo 5 is basically already 1/3 on PC to add to the confusion
